Launch of SU-SWAGATAM Mobile App for Foreigners Intending to Visit India

The Government of India has launched the “Official App India Visa Su-Swagatam” mobile app to facilitate visitors intending to travel to India. The app provides the following visa-related services:

1. Apply for Visa – Regular Visa, e-Visa, Visa on Arrival
2. Online FRRO Services (e-FRRO) – Apply for services like visa extension, visa conversion, exit permit, etc.
3. Check Status
   1. Status of visa application
   2. Status of e-FRRO application
4. Notifications – Advisories/notifications from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Bureau of Immigration (BoI)
5. Language Assistance – Signage and language converter (multi-language support)
6. Chatbot Help Center – For applicant queries
7. Nearby Places – Explore tourist places, government agencies, transport, entertainment, healthcare, religious places, lodging, etc.
