CURRICULAM VITAE

Mr. Jitendra Nath Majhi is an Indian Foreign Service Officer of YOA-2003 batch. He joined the Ministry of External Affairs in the year 1987.

He has served in various capacities in Indian Missions in UK (1989-1992), Butan (1996-2000), Cambodia (2002-2006), Israel (2008-2011) and Hungary (2011-2014). He was posted as Counsellor & Head of Chancery in Embassy of India, Zagreb just prior to this assignment since April 2017. During his stints at Headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs, he has worked in various capacities in Administration Division, United Nations Division, Establishment Division, Projects Division and Development Partnership Assistance (DPA) Division. During his assignment as Director (ITEC) in DPA-II Division, he was instrumental in digitalization and streamlining of ITEC programme of the Ministry of External Affairs.

Mr. Majhi was born on 01 January 1964 in Kendujhar District of Odisha State (India) , is married to Mrs. Astamani Majhi and they have one daughter & one son. He got his Masters Degree in Economics from the prestigious Ravenshaw College of the Utkal University, Odisha.

Mr. Majhi has taken up his assignment as Consul General of India, Reunion Island on 22 October 2020.
