Know India Programme (KIP)
The Ministry of External Affairs has announced the 85th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), scheduled from 06 January to 27 January 2026. KIP is a flagship initiative designed to reconnect Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) aged 21–35 years with their roots and to showcase India’s heritage, culture, innovation, and contemporary development. Since its launch in 2003–04, the programme has hosted 2,999 young PIOs across 83 editions.
Special Features of the 85th Edition
This edition is aligned with the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD), organised alongside the National Youth Festival on 12 January 2026. Selected KIP participants may have an opportunity to participate in the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track, which includes online assessments, leadership activities, and a final round where top performers may present their ideas to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
