The Consulate General of India, Reunion Island is happy to announce that the long pending demand of Persons of Indian Origin in Reunion Island, for registration as OCI Cardholders upto the sixth generation i.e. great-great-great grandchildren of the original Indian immigrant who arrived in the Reunion Island as migrants and indentured labourers from the Indian territories, has been accepted by the Government of India.

2. The detailed modalities of the scheme are being worked out and will be shared shortly.
